That’s exactly what newborns are; magic.
When I am asked to do a newborn photo shoot I get very excited. Not only because it means I can see a teeny tiny cute baby, but I also love seeing the excitement and overwhelming love on the parents faces. And it is always the same look whether its first time, second time or even third time; love in total overflowing abundance!
Meeting this beautiful family of four with their newborn baby girl, Emmeline, was an absolute delight. Their eldest boy Oliver, who is 3, had the most gorgeous energy, spirit, personality and hair! Oliver was a super star and had taken the arrival of his new sibling in his stride! He enjoyed lots of rough and tumble with Dad while Mum breastfed Emmeline. He was proud to show off his beautiful bedroom and cool toys and even the dog joined in with a board game!
Throughout this gorgeous newborn photo shoot, the family moved through each room of the house at a relaxed and chilled pace. Charlotte and Matthew took it in turns to play with Oliver while feeding or changing or cuddling little Emmeline, who we barely heard a peep from! Moments of Charlotte breastfeeding this little one was an honour to capture and reminded me of the incredible bond between Mum and baby. The bond between Dad and daughter was also beautiful to witness, as Matthew cuddled, cradled and kissed his new baby girl.
Those early days with your newborn is pure magic, which is why documenting them with a relaxed newborn family photo shoot is so important.
