There is so much beauty in normal life.

The journey you embark on, from the moment you see that positive sign on your pregnancy stick, is a rollercoaster. Your lives are about to change forever in that moment (and for the better!) Each stage is so momentous and precious that you don't want to forget.

The bump, to the birth to the first few days at home with your new baby, who soon turns into a toddler, who then becomes a 5 year old about to start school; time just goes by in the blink of an eye. And with each twist and turn that this sometimes rocky but wonderful road takes you on, getting out your camera to try and capture moments is not always possible.

I am taking family photography out of the studio and into your home or out and about in a beautiful natural setting. These sessions are beautiful, fun and relaxed and aim to capture you as family in the most authentic and connected way.

Every single family is unique and therefore each shoot I do is different and brings new surprises, emotions and memories. Your family will have your own unique and authentic story and it is my (amazing) job to capture and tell your story, in all its every day beauty.

No posing, no white back drops, no matching outfits. Just you guys. I simply hang out with you all but I just happen to have a camera in my hand. It is the most relaxed way you could have a family photoshoot with children. And what you get is moments of genuine joy and hilarity, expressions of genuine love and contentment. Your child’s smiles will be a real one, not a forced one.

I get it, you’re thinking, how can pictures of us eating lunch, brushing teeth or getting the children ready to get out the door be interesting let alone beautiful?! Well it can, it really really can. These seemingly boring and uninspiring moments of your day are the BEST part - because that is where real moments of affection, tenderness and love can often happen. It’s those ‘in-between’ life moments that are best. Everything is spontaneous during these photo sessions, whatever happens, happens! I am simply an observer of your families life and document whatever is happening in front of me. I record fleeting moments of life, however mundane they may seem at the time, so you can remember the little, in-between life moments, that eventually will be more priceless than the bigger moments.

Your day is special. It is important. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is or how domestic or ‘normal’ it is, I want to capture it for you in all its delicious normal-ness! There is so much beauty in normal life and the moments you’d never think to photograph; those are often the most interesting! You could be having breakfast, making the bed, baking, brushing teeth, shopping at the supermarket, watching a movie or playing hide and seek; whatever you’re doing, it’s important.

My approach is a mixture of documentary and fine art portraiture that will create a series of beautiful images that tell the story of your family. I promise you will feel at ease in my company and there will be zero awkward posing.

Your session fee includes my time during the shoot, editing of your final gallery and travel within the Bath/Bristol area. Digital files and printed artwork products are available to purchase separately following your session.

The session fee must be paid prior to the day of the shoot. This fee covers the my time during photo session and a hand-edited private online viewing gallery of your images that will be delivered to you 2 weeks after your session. After you have viewed your online gallery you will then be able to choose from a variety of photo package options that suit you. Print and digital image packages start at £200.
